Private lessons

The majority of our lessons are private ones. Our teachers are experts in one-on-one instruction, and our students reap the benefits of personalized attention.

We teach absolute beginners to those with experience. We teach all ages (in fact, about 30 percent of our students are adults, and many of them are first-time music students).

When you start your private lessons at Bronstein Music School, your teacher will work with you to develop a set of personal goals. You will then begin to work towards these goals in a series of steps. Every student is different, so your teacher will always stay focused on your goals. Your steady progress will be a direct result of the partnership between you and your teacher, as well as the positive effort you give to learning your instrument.

One of the many benefits of studying at Bronstein Music School is the ability to take advantage of our start-of-the-art facility. Our teaching studios are brand new, have excellent acoustics and bright lighting, and are the perfect size for these lessons. In addition, we have a wonderful recital hall where many of our teachers give their students the opportunity to occasionally show off their progress for family and friends. We think these performances really help reinforce your personal goals.

As you continue to improve your skills, you and your teacher will continue to set new goals that will allow you to develop your talent and help you achieve the excellent musicianship you desired when you first started taking private lessons at Bronstein Music School.

Some notes:

  • Private lessons are held once a week.
  • Students are expected to attend every lesson.
  • Our teachers have precise schedules that they need to follow, so we don't allow for drop-in lessons. But, if a teacher has a last-minute cancellation, they may be able to meet with another student at that time. We leave this type of ad-hoc scheduling up to the indiviadual teachers.
  • The teachers usually recommend one or more music books for their students. These are available at Bronstein Music. Additional instrument supplies may also be recommended.
  • Bronstein Music School provides pianos, drum sets, and guitar amplifiers for private and group lessons. All other lessons require that the student provide his or her own instrument.
