Jonathan Rojo

Available for lessons on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Jonathan Rojo, drum teacher

Jonathan plays drums professionally and teaches music with the San Francisco Unified School District. He taught first grade for 10 years and music the past two years. Since middle school, Jonathan played drums with the Johnny Rojo Family Band. With his father leading the band on saxophone, Jonathan developed his skills to play all styles of music on drum set, congas, timbales and bongos. He branched out from the family band into other projects and has played with numerous local Bay Area musicians, toured the US with recording artists from the Philippines and continues to stay busy playing and teaching. His teaching philosophy is to create a positive learning environment where students can come away feeling happy about learning and playing music.
