In addition to producing her own recordings, Lynda has worked with
numerous bands as an instrumentalist and vocalist. She has composed
music for dance companies and produced other artists. She has a Music
Degree from DePauw University. Lynda has been teaching since 2000 and
her approach to teaching allows students to develop their technique
and theory and further their knowledge of music in general.
Steve Bell
Available for lessons on Tuesday and Saturday
Steve has been a credentialed music teacher in public school since 1991.
He has taught at many different schools, and has been a private instructor
since 1989. He holds a BA in Trumpet Performance from CSU Hayward.
He has also led a choir and has taught flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone,
recorder and choral ensembles. As a performer, he can be heard around the
Bay Area gigging in different situations and settings.
Steve also teaches trumpet and baritone horn.
Howard Cespedes
Available for lessons on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Howard has performed with numerous national and international acts:
Pete Escovedo, Patti Austin, Louis Bellson, Clare Fisher, Four Tops,
Roger Kellaway, Gladys Knight, Mark Levine, Linda Ronstadt, The Supremes,
Temptations and others. He has written numerous works for jazz orchestra
that have been performed at jazz festivals like Montreaux, Vienne, Umbria,
San Jose, Monterey and Playboy. He has been teaching for over 25 years.
Howard also teaches clarinet and saxophone.
David Peterson
Available for lessons on Monday and Saturday
Dave has been a professional musician for twenty-five years playing for a
variety of Broadway shows including Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables,
and A Chorus Line. He has accompanied artists like Natalie Cole, James Brown,
and Frank Sinatra. He has worked as a recording musician for movie soundtracks,
video games, cast albums and CDs. When teaching, his primary goal is to have
fun playing music.
Dave also teaches oboe, saxophone and clarinet.
