Job Title: Music Store Office Manager

 

Job Summary: Bronstein Music seeks a dedicated office manager to join our small team. Established in 1946, our mom-and-pop style music store offers repairs, rentals and school-oriented sales to the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers 
  • Manage online sales, contract requests, and email communications
  • Maintain autopay updates, call and email delinquent customers
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions, new contracts, new service tickets
  • Create and post communications to social media
  • Answer the telephone
  • Clean/prepare returned rental instruments
  • Tend to mailboxes and shipping freight out
  • Daily cleaning/disinfecting protocols

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, OpenOffice, or equivalent
  • Word & Excel are a must
  • Basic HTML skills (to update/make changes to the website)
  • Familiarity with CSS is a plus
  • Basic photography and Photoshop (or equivalent program) ability
  • Experience with using ecommerce platforms (specifically Ebay and/or Reverb)
  • Previous cashier/sales experience
  • Musical instrument playing experience (school band/orchestra)
  • Must be personable and have excellent communication and organizational skills


Schedule and Compensation:

  • Full-time employment preferred, but part-time available to highly qualified applicants.
  • Bronstein Music is open from 10:30-6:00, Tuesday - Friday and 9:30-3:00 on Saturdays
  • Pay starts at $22/hour. 
  • Health care coverage possible for full-time employees.
