solid-body electric Guitar from Fender that offers a step-down from the
company's Classic Player Series '50s Stratocaster. Intended to replicate
the sound and aesthetic of the company's 1950s-era Strats played by
musicians like Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison, this model is outfitted with
a number of period-accurate features engineered in conjunction with
Fender's Custom Shop specialists in California. Made up of an alder body
and a one-piece maple neck, the guitar also features "aged" knobs and
switch tip, a five-position pickup blade, and a synthetic bone nut. A
set of three Fender vintage-style Single-Coil Strat pickups complete the
50's Stratocaster, adding the classic "twang" sound that is synonymous
with this model.
