All used instruments have gone through the repair shop for a tune-up and
have undergone a cleaning process (for flutes & piccolos - we sanitize the
headjoint, clean the body, and silver polish if necessary). There may be
some cosmetic imperfections, but they do not affect the play or sound of
the instrument.
For both programs, all our flutes & piccolos come with a cleaning rod and a
cloth swab to clean the instrument.

Rental Program
Oboes are very expensive woodwind instruments and their rent-to-own
cost would be extremely high per month, so we only offer them as a
rent-to-rent instrument.
Most students who start playing the oboe begin their studies on a student-level instrument and then transition to a conservatory model after a year or two. Some instructors request their students begin on a conservatory model to get used to the extra key work early, so please check with your band program or teacher to see which model you should be renting.
Student level oboes rent for $45 per month and conservatory oboes rent for $90 per month, plus applicable county use tax.
All of our oboe rentals come with one reed, cork grease, a swab to clean the inside of the instrument, and the case.

Single French Horn
Beginning students usually start on a single French horn for their first year of playing, then move up to the double horn. A single horn is one that is in a single key, usually F (but sometimes in Bb!), double horns have a trigger that allows switching between two sets of tubing on the instrument so it can be played in either F or Bb.
Because students only play on a single French horn for a year or two, we only offer them as rent-to-rent instruments. You can return the instrument any time after the 3-month minimum and when your student is ready, we can switch you over to a rent-to-own contract on a double horn, or apply up to 12 months of your rental credit towards purchasing a brand new instrument.
Single French horns rent for $45.00 per month, plus applicable county use tax.

Baritone horns and euphoniums are very similar instruments that usually play the same music in a wind band. We rent euphoniums here as that is the instrument that most people would want to rent-to-own. Violin Sizing
It is very important for orchestral string instruments be properly sized for the person playing it. If your student has been sized by the teacher recently (i.e. this school year), excellent! Please refer to the section below. If not, please refer to the chart to determine which instrument your student needs.
Small Violins (1/8-3/4 Size)
All of our small-size violins are rent-to-rent contracts. You should not purchase a smaller violin because your student will outgrow it in both size and playing abilities. We can do a straight equipment exchange once your student is ready for the next size up with no changes to your billing amount or date. This can be done until your student reaches the 3/4 size violin.
Once your student is ready for the full-size (4/4) violin, we can either apply up to 12 months of your rental credit toward purchasing a brand new instrument, or we can get you started on the rental with the option to purchase contract.
We collect the first two months of rent up front (plus any accessories), then do automatic billing on a credit card of your choice when you begin a rent-to-rent violin.
Small-size violins rent for $20 per month, plus your county's use tax.
Full-Size Violins (4/4 Size)

Viola Sizing
It is very important for orchestral string instruments be properly sized for the person playing it. If your student has been sized by the teacher recently (i.e. this school year), excellent! Small Violas (12"-14")
All of our small-size violas are rent-to-rent contracts. You should not purchase a smaller viola because your student will outgrow it in both size and playing abilities. We can do a straight equipment exchange once your student is ready for the next size up with no changes to your billing amount or date. This can be done until your student reaches the 14" viola.
Once your student is ready for a full-size (15"+) viola, we can either apply up to 12 months of your rental credit toward purchasing a brand new instrument, or we can get you started on the rental with the option to purchase contract.

Rental Program
Rent a new or used full-sized viola and you can return it any time
after the 3-month minimum or keep on renting it until you own it. 100%
of your monthly payment goes toward the "rent-to-own" price of the
instrument. We collect the first two months of rent up front (plus any
accessories), then do automatic billing on a credit card of your choice.
If you rent a used viola, renters have the option of applying up to
twelve (12) months of rental credit toward purchasing a brand-new viola
of equal or higher value at any time during the rental.
All used instruments have gone through the repair shop for a tune-up and
have undergone a cleaning process (for string instruments, we wipe down
the finger boards/strings and all touch points). There may be some
cosmetic imperfections, but they do not affect the play or sound of the
instrument.
For both programs, all of our string instruments come with a case,
bow, and cake of rosin. We have shoulder rests available for a
separate purchase.

Cello Sizing
It is very important for orchestral string instruments be properly sized for the person playing it. If your student has been sized by the teacher recently (i.e. this school year), excellent! Please refer to the section below.
If your student has not been sized by a teacher and you are unsure which size to select, please give us a call and we can walk you through the sizing process at home. All you need is your student and a tape measure or yard stick.
Small Cellos (1/2 & 3/4)
All of our small-size cellos are rent-to-rent contracts. You should not purchase a smaller cello because your student will outgrow it in both size and playing abilities. We can do a straight equipment exchange once your student is ready for the next size up with no changes to your billing amount or date. This can be done until your student reaches the 3/4 cello.
Once your student is ready for a full-size (4/4) cello, we can either apply up to 12 months of your rental credit toward purchasing a brand new instrument, or we can get you started on the rental with the option to purchase contract.
We collect the first two months of rent up front (plus any accessories), then do automatic billing on a credit card of your choice when you begin a rent-to-rent cello.
Small-size cellos rent for $39.50 per month, plus your county's use tax.
Full-Size Cellos (4/4)
Guaranteed Buy Back Program
Purchase a brand-new full-size cello up front and if your student decides not to continue with orchestra, we will buy back the instrument for the price you paid, minus a school year use fee. This option is less expensive than just doing a rental for the school year.
- No monthly payments
- Special usage fee is less than the normal rental price
- If your student continues with the instrument, it still receives a full year of maintenance from the date purchased

appropriate sticks/mallets for their instruments.
Combo kits and bell kits come with the
